We are proud of our new Brasserie set within a large walled garden with manicured lawns and our state-of-the-art kitchen and our elegant new bar serving Adnams finest products, local real ales and handpicked fine wines and champagnes by the glass or bottle. Above all we are proud of our food and service. Fish sourced locally from Mersea Island, our meat is sourced from Hadleigh and our fresh fruit, vegetables and fruit juices sourced from Manningtree. Our enviable wine list is from our partner supplier in Thorrington Street. Our team are here to look after you and to ensure that your stay is warm and enjoyable. Free wifi access and wood burners all add to your experience whether here for business or pleasure.

We offer a wonderful Afternoon Tea within our comfortable and elegant restaurant as well as our beautiful terrace area, served Wednesday to Thursday from midday to 2 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from midday to 5 p.m. - bookings are essential.

We hope you will enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, some decadent cakes, along with a fruit scone with Cornish clotted cream & strawberry preserve.
